We Are Learning About 2D and 2D shapes


Room 10 and 11 have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes.

We made our shape with toothpicks and marshmallows, yum! After we made our shape we got to eat it. 

"I am learning to make 2D and 3D shapes. I found it tricky to make a cylinder and other 3D shapes. I found it easy to make 2D shapes."

"I am learning to solve problems with 10. I find it easy to do addition because I can use my fingers. I find it tricky to write some numbers. "

We Are Learning How to read the graph and talk about the results.




For Maths we have been learning all about Statistics in Room 11. We have been learning about bar graphs, pie graphs and pictographs. Here is an activity I can do on Mathletics to help me.

I am learning to write number sentences to 10 and use this knowledge, when I play games, to solve problems in my head.

Henry, you are able to recognise patterns to 5 using concrete materials.  We are now going to work on instantly recalling these patterns to 5.

"I can make the pattern to 5 and now we are learning to count to 100 on our whiteboards."said Henry

I am learning to form my numerals correctly.

I am learning to write my numbers around the right way.  I am able to write up to 20 correctly but I need to remember my teen numbers begin with 17,18,19.

Henry said, "My numbers are good because the 20 is a good number and it looks right."
